i try history cmd , but it disappears then from arrow up

i tried

HISTFILE=~/foo3 history -csw ' foo | bar '

it then disappears from arrow up list

i tried user request , log cmds i guess
their problem with $BASH_COMMAND and debug trap is that piped cmd appear
each on new line
