For the last day or so I've been plagued by "can't recv" on some Linux
client machines whose hostnames I changed. Apparently I forgot to
update their /etc/hosts files, and I had "files" before "dns" in
/etc/nsswitch.conf. Oops!
Incidentally, it was failing on my Solaris machines too, but it doesn't
print any error.
