Cfengine workshop at LISA2001

LISA WORKSHOP ON CFENGINE 2.0.x

I am planning to hold a workshop on cfengine at LISA2001
which will be a day long event. I would like to address
a number of ideas about ways in which cfengine could be
improved. This will not be "new cool editing commands"
or extra options for "tidy" sort of thing, but rather
larger issues. I would like the programme to consist
of short presentations by interested individuals.

I would like people to take on the responsibility of
researching some small topic and presenting their
findings at the workshop, for discussion. This could
maybe be written up as some very short papers, which
could be published on the web site as part of the
conference. Anyone who wants to write a long paper
for the conference on cfengine is of course more than welcome
to do so.

Some example topics:

* Use of RSA authentication (with OpenSSL, but more like ssh than
  SSL) and an improved transfer protocol with/without encryption.
  How to do key generation and authentication.

* Example configuration techniques for large sites and WANs

* Possible uses for object orientation

* SNMP functions in cfengine?

* Uses for randomized strategies (in 2.0.x)

Please let me know if you would like to participate
and what topic you would like to focus on.
