Problems compiling cfengine on aix 5.1

All,

I am having problems compiling cfengine 2.0.3 on AIX 5.1.0.2.

The configuration seems to work fine, but the make and make install fail.

ld: 0711-317 ERROR: Undefined symbol: .sqrt
ld: 0711-345 Use the -bloadmap or -bnoquiet option to obtain more
information.
collect2: ld returned 8 exit status
make: 1254-004 The error code from the last command is 1.


Stop.
make: 1254-004 The error code from the last command is 2.


Stop.
make: 1254-004 The error code from the last command is 1.


Stop.

How do I determine where to find and correct my errors?
