tidy (CFengine v2.0.0)

I'm running cfengine 2.0.0 under HP-UX - it's the most recent
version packaged at the HP-UX Software Porting Centre.

Why does it reject the following tidy lines (not all at once,
certainly):

tidy:

    /tmp/ssh-* age=60 recurse=inf

# Above line generates all sorts of "cannot stat X: foreign file system?"
# for files totally unrelated to /tmp/ssh-* and not directories at all

    /tmp age=7 pattern=sh[0-9][0-9]*.[0-9]
    /tmp age=7 include=sh[0-9][0-9]*.[0-9]

# Both lines generate a "parse error"

    /tmp include=[0-9][0-9]*.sh age=7
    /tmp include=sam_kinfo* age=60

# Both lines generate "must include age" error
