What do you use for analyzing your syslog output (swatch?). Could you provide a
example configuration?

But my main problem is that cfengine spawns a script named update to update,
install, deinstall packages. And I want the output sorted: Like

cfengine did not run on the follwing hosts during the day: faui0bla, ...

On 67 hosts happened the following during the day:

Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
The following packages have been kept back
  bsdutils mount util-linux 
0 packages upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 3  not upgraded.
