ChecksumUpdates on specific files

I am scanning binary directories in my path on an hourly basis for
changes.  When I change one of these binaries, I would like to do a
ChecksumUpdate only on the specific binary without updating any of the
other directoies under files:    Does anyone have any good suggestions
for doing this?
