In addition to setting the LD_LIBRARY_PATH, you need to:
./configure --with-berkeleydb=/usr/local/db-4.1.25

Subject: compiling on RH 9.0 BerkeleyDB

Hello,
I have been upgrading some machines to cfengine 2.0.6 and have been running
into the " This release of cfengine requires BerkeleyDB 3.2 or later". I
have installed BerkeleyDB.4.1 and set the LD_LIBRARY_PATH to reflect the
installation.
While I have seen the BrekeleyDB errors before, I get this error on
RedHat9.0 consistently with the corrective measure taken. (same process on a
RH 8.0 box next to it installs fine.)

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Phil Moses
