cfengine network protocol specs

Hello,

I am looking for some protocol specs for cfengine 2.1.0a6.
I have a perl script that i'd like to use to make some
file transfers. This script worked with cfengine 1.6.4,
but not it no longer works. 

I see a reference for 1.6.4:

But I can't seem to find a similar reference for 2.1.0.

I would assume that my script is no longer working because I
am missing some authentication step with the keys in the new
cfengine version.

Any help would be useful.
