I guess I should finish that paragraph :) 

Also, I've tried adding 
 AllowMultipleConnectionsFrom = ( 192.168. )
To my cfservd.conf file. I've removed any cached keys on both the 
client and server and removed the /var/lib/cfengine2/cfengine_lock_db 
files on all machines (in case of BDB corruption). None of these made 
a difference.
