RE: No email output - cfengine-2.1.14

Hi Luke,

Hmmm, I don't have a 'cfexecd.conf' but rather a 'cfagent.conf'.  In there I 
define:

control:

    any::

        smtpserver = ( mymailserver.foo.com )
        sysadm = ( cfengineadmin@foo.com )

Now, I do have the above defined in both 'cfagent.conf' and 'update.conf'. 
Does that matter?  Or should they be in one or the other explicitly?

Question: Are you _sure_ that you are receiving all your emails?  Or asked a 
different way, how would you know if you weren't all the cfengine emails? I 
don't mean to sound like a smart ass here - but I think the question needs to 
be asked since I do get a _very_ small percentage of emails since going from 
2.1.11 to 2.1.14.

I'm going to setup a test and monitor the network to see if any data is making 
it out on port 25.  That'll atleast point me in one direction to look at.

Correct me if I'm wrong here: any output captured by 'cfexecd' is also stored 
in /var/cfengine/outputs/<time_stamped_file> - correct?
