Hi Folks,
I posted a message earlier, but might have misled some of you about the problem.
Thanks for any pointers.
I am not able to start cfservd cleanly in the cfengine master server. Although cfservd starts , and the port is open i get the following error.
masterserver:/usr/local/cfengine/sbin # ./cfservd
cfservd: Error reading Private Key = bad iv chars
My cfservd.conf is as follows on the masterserver
masterserver:/var/cfengine/inputs # less cfservd.conf
# Don't forget the domain name
control:
domain = ( domain.com )
cfrunCommand = ( "/var/cfengine/bin/cfagent" )
trustkeysfrom = ( 10.240.191.3 10.240.191.23 )
# Prevent DOS attacks
MaxConnections = ( 50 )
AllowConnectionsFrom = ( 10.240.191.3 10.240.119.23 )
#
# Allow more than one simultaneous connection from friendly hosts
#
AllowUsers = ( root )
admit:
/var/cfengine/masterfiles/inputs *.doc.nycnet
/var/cfengine/inputs *.doc.nycnet

I am running Suse 64bit on the masterserver. I downloaded cfengine-2.1.17.tar.gz from cfengine.org.
./configure --prefix=/usr/local/cfengine --with-openssl=/usr/local/openssl7d
make
make install
Thanks for all help,
spk
