Dear All,
I am also very interested if I could disable backups globally. They are
evil some times -- for instance in any directory all files in
which are read by some process (such directories as /etc/modprobe.d).
older (bad) backuped files can be read in such an order which overrides
/ precedes configuration specified in the original file.
Thank you in advance
