This is my biggest gripe about the BTS as it stands. Unless you
monitor the bug then you don't get a reply.
Gripe indeed.
I wish I could contribute a patch for this rather fundamental breakage,
but that's not going to happen. Sigh.
Since no real fix is likely, I suggest that the web page at
https://debbugs.gnu.org/ (and probably other places), under "Reply to
an Existing Report", mention this behavior. Something like:
It is good to explicitly include the original submitter of the bug,
and any other participants, in your email. The bug# address itself
will only go to the address associated with that package's tracker,
typically bug-PKG@gnu.org, and not to the individual email addresses
which have contributed to the bug.

Myself, I was completely surprised to discover unseen-by-me msgs posted
on a bug that I had originated. It was contrary to all expectations. I
doubt I am the only one. --thanks, karl.
