Multi-button mouse drivers often provide special programmable facilities
on various buttons, especially the non-standard buttons.  There should
be an option to turn this off, which is probably what you need to do. 
IIRC, some drivers even allow this on a per-program basis, for which you
have to be careful to get the program name right; it's probably
emacs.exe for Emacs.
