Hi,
For completeness sake: I'm using the mailslot version of gnuserv (binaries are
dated 27-Feb-1997), not Guy Gascoigne's TCP version (binaries dated
11-Sep-1999) as I hade trouble with that version when not online.
Cheers,
Karel

One thing to note is that GNUServ, at some point in the recent past,
changed pretty radically, from using mailslots to using sockets, on
Windows. I don't know when this happened, but it was within the last
couple of years. So when you say "you've been running it for a while",
perhaps you have a version of GNUServ that is using mail slots and a
client using sockets or vice versa.
