Hi,
Of course we are always interested in having people work on MRML and/or
the gift project. A Java communication interface for a new mrml version
is one of our goals.
I think that you already read the page on MRML at:
http://www.mrml.net/specification/v2_0/
There is another document with propositions that you can download from:
http://www.sim.hcuge.ch/medgift/publications/CBMI2003.pdf
All these are currently only propositions for a new version of mrml. We
would like to get more input on mrml, so if you have any good ideas, you
can of course propose them to the list.
The more people deliver input to an mrml v2.0, the better it can become.
I think that it is really important to have an open standard protocol
for multimedia retrieval systems as it does facilitate research and
exchange between research groups as well as the reuse of components.
Please tell me if you need any additional information.
Cheers, Henning

Hi!
I am interested in content based image retrieval and I plan to code a
CBIR prototype in java. (I am writing my diploma thesis.) I have read
the proposal for MRML 2.0. Are there any ideas how to implement,
document-management features. (especially adding and removing documents)
Is the sample-snippet cited below an appropriate possibility to extend
MRML 2.0?
If not, could you provide a MRML example, showing how MRML 2.0 could be
extended to implement an "add-document"-feature?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Wolfgang

Hi,
I think that I personnaly prefer
<mrml session-id="44">
<add-document collection-id="TSR500">
<document-list>
<document location="http://some.url/haha.gif"/>
</document-list>
</add-document>
</mrml>
Cool. Me too, by the way.
