Hi,

.fts contains the features. ADI means additional document information. This contains as far as I know the most frequent and least frequent feature and things like that that some feature weightings might use. There are little perl skripts that bring the binary fts files into a text format. Maybe Wolfgang can send these to the list. I have to look but should also find them.

Cheers, Henning

Thanks for the response.
Am I right by assuming that if I want to find out about features of image X I would then read into X.fts or I would read into X.fts.ADI?

Thanks again

Hi,

if you have added a collection with gift-add-collection then you have

extracted all the features for the images already.

There is a directory called FeatureExtratction that contains the C
code for feature extraction.

Cheers, Henning

Hello,
I installed gift on my machine and was able to add my collection
and
indexed them but I am running into some problems to extract
features.
Would someone tell me how I can extract features from a specific
image
using GIFT?
What would be steps to follow for anybody who wants to use GIFT to
indexing and features extraction only? Any idea where I can find a
new
README?
Thanks Epa Uwimana
