[Help-glpk] Can anyone help me???

Hi, my name is Leandro and I study computer science. I live in Brazil and I have to do a research on GLPK, but I don't even know what GNU is. Also I would like to know am I supossed to use GLPK on my work, I don't know exactly what it is.
