Dear GLPK users,

I am glad to announce version 0.06 of Math::GLPK, the Perl wrapper module for
GLPK to solve linear programs with much less pain.

See the project page at

    http://qosip.tmit.bme.hu/~retvari/Math-GLPK.html

Version 0.06 is a major new release, which brings Math::GLPK up to date with
the upstream GLPK library. The most important change is that, due to an
immense lack of human resources, I had to drop multi-version support. Until
version 0.05, Math::GLPK supported multiple versions of GLPK using automatic
version detection and some black magic. While this worked reasonably well
during the years, version misdetections and mismatches caused permanent
frustration both for users and the maintainers. So, from version 0.06, the
Math::GLPK package is only tested and supported for one specific GLPK
version. It might (and, almost certainly, does) work with older or newer
versions tough, only it is not tested and supported. Currently, the supported
version of GLPK is 4.17.

Math::GLPK was extensively tested on various platforms (ia32, amd64 and
powerpc) under Debian GNU/Linux and Ubuntu. As always, testers, porters and
contributors are highly acknowledged.

Best regards,
gabor
