I am sure you would be knowing about C-x b (switch-to-buffer) command.
But that command doesn't give a "previous buffer", "next buffer"
facility.

If you are looking for something like Alt-Tab in windows maybe you 
can check out

With sufficient thrust, pigs fly just fine. However, this is not
