No one can solve terminal settings v. Emacs conflicts???!!!?!?!?

I've asked a few people and no one has
been able to come up with an easy solution
to problem of using Emacs remotely without
conflicting with all the terminal settings.
(See stty -a output.)

The best idea I got was maybe running X remotely
would fix this problem. But, sometimes you won't
have X like when doing telnet/ssh from a
Windoze box you borrowed while visiting
Grandma in New Jersey for the weekend.

Please help!!!!
