I have been successfully using emacs while editing and compiling fortran 77
for years. I am now switching to fortran 90 and miss some of the nice
features that were available when using fortran 77. For example, f77 only
allows text to col 72 whereas I understand that f90 can go up to 132
characters per line. I can still give the control-C control-r command and
obtain a ruler, but it stops after 72. How do I get a longer ruler and any
other features I don't know about that pertain to fortran 90?
