why my emacs hanged when i tries to load my '.emacs

hi every body

 

can any body help me ???

 

i am writing my '.emacs and got some problem.

 

purpose: to give different background color in a single buffer using overlay property.

 

location of '.emacs: emacs-home-dir/bin

 

problem:when i tries to load the '.emacs it loaded and worked   fine except it hanged.

 

how to over come this problem???
