LaTeX highlighting in 21.1

Hello everybody,
        Does Peter Galbraith's package font-latex.el work with  
the 21.1 version of Emacs? It seems to give trouble. I keep getting error
messages when I start emacs-21.1 with (require 'font-latex).  

        I recall an earlier posting to this list that the nice   
coloring features have disappeared but don't recall any responnses

Could someone help?
