Is there any Emacs version available for the
Pentium 4 (i686) processor. When I print the Emacs version No. I get
this:
GNU Emacs 21.1.1
(i386-msvc-windows98.3000)
If I type M-x shell the system crashes. I tried to
install it with the --with-gcc option but I still got the i386
version. I installed it under
Windows Me compiling with Visual C++ 6.0.
