Hi guys/gals - small issue:

I installed RH Linux 7.3 last night, and there seems to be a new version of emacs on the loose. It's cool, I suppose, but, despite having (twice) gone through the "standard procedure" to set my default face (I much prefer a dark background to a light one), it still loads as the original!

... is it just me? I'm honestly not an emacs "guru", but I would consider myself more than just a casual user. I honestly think this should "just work" ... and yet it does not.

Any help is appreciated!

FYI: Went to customize faces menu - then basic face - then default. I set the foreground to gray and the background to black. When I "save for future sessions" and then exit and re-enter it still gives me black on white as the default :(

Thanks!

Eddie
