I work on a Linux box using XEMACS and a Win2K using EMACS 21.2. Whenever the Linux box opens a file (for example, a Perl script), it puts a CRLF pair (carriage return/line feed hex 0D0A) in the place of the normal single newline (hex 0A). This is truly annoying. How do I stop this behavior.
