bbdb-ftp problem

hi,all!
Recently I start to use bbdb package, i've just got some 
trouble while using its ftp part. First, i create a record 
of ftp site.when asked "Ftp Site: ", i type something like
a.b.c or ftp://a.b.c; then, i type 'F' or 'bbdb-ftp' to try
to log in the ftp site, but every method i've tried failed!
i've used 'lftp ' first to test the ftp site, which turns
out to be okay.The error mesg:

I've looked up in bbdb's info and tried google, but still cannot
solve it. And any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

ps: GNU Emacs 21.3.1 (i386-pc-linux-gnu, X toolkit) of
2003-11-01 on raven,  modified by Debian
