I would like to do one or more of the following:
* temporarily hide mode-line and minibuffer in current buffer
* make a frame with no mode-line OR minibuffer at all
* replace all uses of mode-line in emacs with something else
(e.g. the ratpoison(1) bar)
Please advise: [how] can I do any of these things?
(*Without* using XEmacs.)
Current knowledge:
M-: (make-frame (quote ((minibuffer))))
;=> <a frame with no minibuffer>
