No fonts founds in GNU emacs 21.1.3

Hello.

I have been using GNU emacs 21.1.3 and recently our OS was upgraded to
Redhat Enterprise Linux WS 3. (Previously, we had Redhat Linux 9.)
Now, after using GNU emacs several times, I get the following message
and cannot invoke GNU emacs in X windows unless I use emacs -nw option.

 No fonts founds
[1]+  Done                    /usr/bin/emacs $*

I am wondering what is wrong here?  Any help/suggestions are highly
appreciated.
