Subject: | Tiger upgrade (mac osx): help needed! |

I just did an "archive install" type of upgrade from 10.3 panther to 10.4 tiger. Many questions: 1. Carbon Emacs breaks. I use it a lot, Any solution?
Aquamacs 0.9.6 ( http://aquamacs.org ) works just fine on both Panther and Tiger. If you need a more conservative pre-configuration, try the Carbon Emacs Package, which works on Tiger.
If you build it yourself, you'll find that the binaries generated by the Emacs (CVS head) build process are incompatible across OS X <= 10.3.9, 10.4.0/1 and 10.4.2. Sad, but true.
