po-mode input method on Emacs under Mac OS X

Hi,

I try to use po-mode with a certain input-method (esperanto-postfix). 
When I set this in the main-window and try to edit an entry with RET the 
small edit-window opens with Mode Fundamental, where the input-method is 
not set, so I first have to set input-method again with toggle input method.

How can I set it for the whole po-session?
