I got an excellent response from Peter Dyballa, with a list of
libraries:
libgif
libjpeg.62
libpng
libtiff
libncurses
libICE
libSM
libXaw3d
libX11
libXext
libXmu
libXpm
libXt
I installed most of them and now I have a shiny new CVS Emacs with GTK
toolkit :)
