Hi,

I know the nice font changes in auctex, e.g. for section, and would
like to achieve this for certain files too...

Right now I can define some keywords

(define-generic-mode 'fluent-mode
  '("#")
  '("DEBUG")
  '( ("INFO" . 'font-lock-constant-face)
    ("DEBUG" . 'font-lock-keyword-face)
    ("WARN" . 'font-lock-type-face)
    ("ERROR" . 'paren-face-mismatch)
    ("WARNING" . 'font-lock-fatal-face))
  '(".jou\\'")
  nil
"Major mode for editing fluent journal files")

and set the faces:

  (custom-set-faces
    '( font-latex-match-title-3-keywords ((t (:height 1.2
:foreground "blue" :inherit (font-latex-title-3-face)))))
       '(font-lock-builtin-face ((t (:foreground "cyan"))))
       '(margin-face ((t (:background "magenta"))))
       '(font-lock-comment-face ((t (:foreground "green"))))
       '(font-lock-constant-face ((t (:foreground "magenta"))))
       '(font-lock-function-name-face ((t (:underline t :bold t
:foreground "blue" ))))
       '(font-lock-keyword-face ((t (:foreground "yellow"))))
       '(font-lock-string-face ((t (:foreground "red"))))
       '(font-lock-fatal-face ((t (:underline t :bold t :foreground
"red" :background "black"))))
     ; '(font-lock-type-face ((t (:foreground "darkgreen"))))
       '(font-lock-variable-name-face ((t (:foreground "black"))))

I would like to know, how I can change the color and especially the
font size of all lines starting with an asterisk? Does anyone have
an idea for emacs 21.3.1?

Greetings!
Fabian
