In your ~/.Xresources, just add one line:
-----------------------------|CODE|--------------------------------
Emacs.font: -gnu-unifont-medium-r-normal--0-0-75-75-c-0-iso10646-1
-------------------------------------------------------------------
...substituting your preferred font. Then do `xrdb -merge ~/.Xresources' to
tell X about your new preference.
