Problems with preview-latex (AUCTeX 11.84)

Hi all,

when I hit `C-c C-p C-d' in a document to preview it, I'm asked if I
want to cache the preamble wich I answer with y.  Then I get this error:

What's the culprit here?

I tried preview-latex on a minimal document which worked without
problems...
