Hi,
I have some problem with this function. I add this line in my .emacs file:
(set-message-beep 'silent)
But when Emacs starts says: "Symbol's function definition is void: set-message-beep".
How could I fix it?

Thanks, Costantino

P.S.Running Emacs22 on Debian Sid.

I think set-message-beep is only available on Windows. Try

(setq visible-bell t)

Thanks a lot! Now it works properly, I was going mad!

Ty, Costantino
