Disable Command Echo In Emacs Shell ? |

Hello All,
I'm using GNU Emacs 21.3.1 on Redhat 4 and with the Alt-x shell I use "ksh".
My shell buffer echoes all of my commands as below:
/root> ls qqqqq
ls qqqqq
ls: qqqqq: No such file or directory
/root>
This does not happen with "bash". If I set "comint-process-echoes" to true,
the echoing stops but other things brake (ctrl-c ctrl-c is not reccognized)
so I cannot use this..
Is there any way to disable this annoying effect when using "ksh" as the
child shell?
Thanks in advanced..
Joe
