What is wrong?

I don't know. You may try the same with some English dialect. What is your ispell-personal-dictionary?

Strangly American works:
     (setq ispell-dictionary "american")
     (setq ispell-local-dictionary "american")
     (setq flyspell-default-dictionary "american")

I have not set a ispell-personal-dictionary (Its value is nil).

I am really lost :-( I am not so good at typing, and I make a lot of mistakes, so without ispell (flyspell) I cannot really work :-(

I hope you can help.

Greetings,
Christian
