Hmm, unfortunately not. I suspect it might be a bug in the packaged
version of Emacs on
my Fedora system. The emacs-snaphot on emacs doesn't seem to have the
same effect.

Seeing as the next Fedora is due real soon now I shall re-test once that is out.
