I recently was unable to kill a file open with Tramp:
/plink:somone@example.com:/some/file
Even though the file was saved, Tramp always tried to connect to the
server, and in the end I just had to kill EMACS.
I'm running it on WinXP 32:
GNU Emacs 23.1.1 (i386-mingw-nt5.1.2600) of 2009-07-30 on SOFT-MJASON
