Does it work without -Q (and with an empty ~/.emacs file)?
The handling of -Q has changed in v23.2 (see NEWS), so perhaps this
bug is a side effect.
In any case, a proper way of reporting a bug in a pretest is with
"M-x report-emacs-bug RET".
