request for buffer-configuration-to-register

window-configuration to register just saves the configuration of the
windows (i.e. the geometry), as the name suggests.  It also saves
point.

I would like to save (in addition to the window configuration and point)
(names of the) buffers in those windows.

The goal is to do jump-to-register and see the same thing I saw before
(assuming of course the buffer contents weren't changed, or the buffers
killed, etc).

Does this function already exist?
