UTF-code

Hi,

when processing a "normal" .tex-File with Postgresql I get the message

                  "invalid byte sequence for encoding "UTF8": 0xde6c"

Going through a code list I found that  this really seems to be a very 
strange character.

Question:
How can I can find and remove/replace this  byte sequence with emacs?
