Hello All,
My Gnu Emacs 24.3.1 (Cygwin) suddenly stopped working. It starts up taking
over 500 MB on Windows 7 Enterprise Task Manager and never maps it's window. It
then core dumps leaving a emacs-X11.exe.stackdump file (shown at end).
All other cygwin x apps work (xeyes, xterm, xcalc).. I start it with no
.emacs file in my home directory "emacs &"
How can I see what it's doing? Are there any startup switches that can help me
find out what it's doing? Also, if I cant solve this problem is there a way to
re-install just emacs-X11.exe and it's required libraries?
I also executed a date listing of the ldd command on /usr/bin/emacs-X11.exe and
all libraries show an old date (no recent changes). No libraries have changed
and neither has the /usr/bin/emacs-X11.exe executable..
What could be goin on?
Thanks In Advanced
Joe
