Why does `browse-url-can-use-xdg-open' one of {Gnome,KDE,XFCE,LXDE} ?
I'm using xdg-open without any of those, but
`browse-url-can-use-xdg-open', as defined in browse-url.el:937 requires
that one of these desktop environments be running. Why?
