window-number elpa package stopped working in emacs 28. |

Not sure what else to say here. The window-number package worked fine for emacs
26 and 27
but now that I am using emacs 28.0.50, it’s like it doesn’t exist. The window
number no longer
shows in the mode line, and the M-<window number> shortcut does nothing.
