[Help-gnu-radius] problems reading radwtmp files

Greetings,
I've installed gnu-radius 0.96.3, and I've a problem with radwtmp files.
I need to read and translate in clear text some radwtmp files backed up from 
an older machine which had an older gnu radius installed (unfortunately, I 
can't bring any more information about this one).
Normally, I run on the older machine the "radlast -f radwtmp-file" to 
translate log files stored in radwtmp format, and this successed!
On the actual machine the same command on the same file exits without 
displaying any information, as in the case the file was empty :-(, but the 
file is about 30M !!!!

I tried with other switches, but I got the same result.
