Hello!Im converting an old shadow password file to mysql for use with GNU-radius 1.1, but this time I ran across a dilemma: This machine have some very old accounts, which passwords were crypted with an old encryption scheme (the old "CRYPT", i think). In the same password file there are newer accounts, which have MD5 encrypted passwords. The server runs now Slackware 9.0, but these accounts are being migrated from server to server since 1996, when Slack still wasnt using MD5 to crypt passwords. The server runs fine and the old CRYPT passwords works flawlessy, concorrently with the newer MD5 accounts, with GNU-radius 1.0 and auth=System. The question is: Will GNU-radius work flawlessy too, when it gets a password with a non-MD5 crypt scheme from a mysql database for authentication?
Regards, Norman
